Who is Triller?

Triller is an AI-powered music video app and talent discovery platform that allows users to create professional looking videos in a matter of seconds. Pick a song, select the portion of the song you want to use, snap a few takes and with the tap of a button you have a celebrity-quality music video starring you and your friends. As of September 2020, Triller has more than 250 million downloads and set the record of being the only app to simultaneously be the number 1 downloaded app in 50 countries.

 

With licensing deals from major record labels such as Sony and Universal, Triller supports artists' streaming numbers and helps their songs go viral. Triller works with many on todays top artists and influencers. Celebrities like The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Burna Boy, Tyga, Charli and Dixie D'Amelio, Noah Beck and Josh Richards regularly use the app.

What was my role as Social Media Manager?

 

I directed all social media activities from the Triller Paris office for Europe, Asia Pacific (APAC), Middle East Northern Africa (MENA), English-speaking African countries, French-speaking African countries, and Latin America (LATAM). I oversaw a social media associate based in Los Angeles who helped part-time with the LATAM IG account.  

 

Instagram

Develop Triller's global social media presence with a strong focus on Instagram. Be the voice of Triller internationally to increase brand awareness.

Define social media strategy for all eleven of Triller international IG accounts across: Europe, Asia Pacific (APAC), Middle East Northern Africa (MENA), English-speaking African countries, French-speaking African countries, and Latin America (LATAM). 

  • Define Triller's target audience on Instagram

  • Define key messages

  • Set up and/or improve profiles

  • Define Triller IG's editorial line and develop content ideas

  • Create Instagram style guidelines.

  • Create social media content calendars and posting schedules

  • Define KPI's (content impressions, audience engagement, audience growth, etc.)

 

Manage all day to day aspects of Triller's Instagram accounts:

  • Create and maintain eleven content calendars in alignment with team priorities (challenges/onboards/co-promotions with artists, music labels and influencers, etc.)

  • Curate the feed, write captions and post on IG according to posting schedule

  • Community management (going through DMs, answering and writing comments, etc.)

  • Keep a pulse on trends

  • Work on content creation in conjunction with team priorities (e.g. co-promotions for artists)

  • Work with the graphics department to create consistent branding

What was my role as Public Relations Manager?

As PR manager my role was to develop a communications plan for Triller international. I guided and oversaw Triller's partner public relations agencies in Europe and Africa and was an integral part of the recruitment process for future PR partners.

In collaboration with PR agencies:

  • Define a brand narrative and key messages for Triller in the international space

  • Help drive brand awareness in Europe and Africa through media relations, in collaboration with partner PR agencies

  • Collate all news worthy stories from the Europe and Africa teams to relay to our PR collaborators

  • Work with the music managers at Triller and their contacts in the music industry to create evergreen stories with artists and Triller

  • Work with PR agencies to create new storylines for Triller that are relevant to the market

  • Edit and validate press releases

  • Seek out and interview new PR agencies in different regions

In-house:

  • Write and edit press releases, email newsletter and stakeholder bios

  • Edit important in-house and client presentations
